1. [琅琊] also written as "琅邪" or "瑯琊." ① Name of a commandery established during the Qin Dynasty. The former administrative center is located in what is now Jiaonan City, Shandong Province.
2. A mountain name. One is located in what is now Jiaonan City, Shandong Province, where Qin Shi Huang ascended in 219 BC, and erected the Langya Terrace and stone tablets. The other is located in the southwest of Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, named after the Jin Langya King who camped there during his campaign against Wu. In "Mencius • Liang Hui Wang (Part II)," it states: "I wish to observe the dance of the morning court, following the sea to the south, and to be released at Langya."
