According to Xu Yi in 'Zhui Section', 雁 is a Hongyan, and in 'Bird Section', 鴈 refers to 䳘; 鴚䳘 is wild 䳘. The commonly used terms 雁 and 鴈 have been indistinguishable for a long time." "Liji: Monthly Order": "Geese fly north, and magpies start nesting." Cao Zhi of the Three Kingdoms Wei Dynasty in "Ganjie Fu": "I watch the geese soaring and gathering, imagining the mysterious birds arriving for a visit." Tang poet Bai Juyi in "Jianglou Evening View": "Winds swirl, white waves splash thousands of pieces, geese dot the blue sky in a line of characters."
3. Falsified, fake. Later written as "贗" (counterfeit). "Han Feizi: Story Forest": "Qi replaces Lu; they ask for a false tripod. Lu sent its counterfeit. The Qi people said: 'It's counterfeit.' The Lu people said: 'It's real.'" Chen Qi You's collection explains: "Real counterfeit was originally 'true鴈', which later was changed to include '贝' (shellfish)."
