鲑 (guī) 1. Fish name; large body, slightly spindle-shaped, with fine and round scales; many species. 2. Salmon (English: salmon). A common name for several species of fish belonging to the Salmonidae family. They live in coastal waters of the North Atlantic and North Pacific, migrating upstream in rivers during the breeding season to spawn. 鲑 (xié) 1. General term for fish dishes (English: cooked fish). 引: "Who says Yu Lang is poor? He had twenty-seven varieties of cooked fish." - from the book "Nan Shi". 2. See also guī. 鲑 (huá) 1. A legendary winged fish with a luminous body from ancient tales (English: name of a fish in ancient). 引: "The Shanhai Jing states: Two hundred miles southeast is Zitong Mountain, from which Zitong River flows. It then westward flows into Yuru Marsh, where many salmon are found. They resemble fish but have bird wings; they shine brightly and their sound is like that of mandarin ducks. When they appear, there will be great droughts in the world." 2. A species of carp (English: macular hemibarbus). The body is elongated and laterally compressed, silver-gray, with a vertical row of black spots above the lateral line, and small black spots on the dorsal fin, tail fin, and body sides; the snout is pointed. It inhabits freshwater and is distributed in East Asia — also known as "flower salmon."
