【造字法】: 狸为貍的俗字。形声。从豸( zhì),长脊的野兽,里声。

2. Also known as "money cat," "mountain cat," "leopard cat," "raccoon cat," or "wild cat." Its body is similar in size to a cat, with a round head and thick tail. The coat is light brown with many brown spots, and there are four brown stripes from the head to the shoulders, with a white stripe near the inner edge of each eye. It preys on birds and rodents, and often steals poultry. Its fur can be used for clothing.
