(Phonetic: "shape sound." Combining the radical "邑" (city) and "业" (ye). Original meaning: Ye City. Same as the original meaning (English: Ye capital).) An ancient place name. The city was first built by Duke Huan of Qi during the Spring and Autumn Period. Established as a county during the Qin dynasty. It became the capital of the Wei state during the Three Kingdoms period. It was renamed Jianzhang to avoid the taboo of Emperor Huai. Subsequently, it served as the capital for Former Qin, Later Zhao, Eastern Wei, and Northern Qi. The Sui dynasty restored it as Ye County, which was abolished in the Song dynasty. The site is located in present-day west of Jianzhang County and north of Anyang City, Henan Province.
