1. Ancient state name (Zou state). It was known as "Zhū Guó" during the Spring and Autumn period, and also called "Zhū Lóu Guó." During the Warring States period, it was renamed "Zou Guó" by Lu Mu Gong. The Han Dynasty established Zou County under the jurisdiction of the Lu state, now in Shandong Province. During the Tang Dynasty, it remained as Zou County, and throughout the ages, it has been part of Yanzhou Prefecture during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
