Etymology: Phono-semantic compound, from "阜" [hill], with inverse sound.) 引: 1. 《说文》:阪,坡者曰阪。一曰泽障,一曰山胁。从阜,反声。字亦作坂。 (En. "Shuōwén": "阪" refers to a slope. It is also called a barrier in wetlands and a side of a mountain. It is composed of "阜" and has an inverse sound. The character is also written as "坂".) 2. 《诗·秦风 ·车邻》:阪有桑。 (En.
